Scented Gluten-Free Play Dough

Advertisements

This recipe is super easy with only two ingredients, three if want darker colors. If your aren’t gluten intolerant, you could also make homemade scented play dough. A little contrast and comparison of the two doughs – the gluten-free dough has a very smooth texture, it may even make your hands feel soapy. The regular homemade play dough has a more solid consistency compared to the gluten-free, but doesn’t make your hands feel soapy. My kids thought both doughs were fun to play with.

Here’s the recipe:

1 cup corn starch

1/2 cup hair conditioner

Mix the ingredients together. Knead the dough until consistent.

You may add food coloring to the center of a disc of the play dough and the knead that in to create a darker color. I wore plastic gloves when kneading the coloring in because I didn’t want to get it on my hands.

The homemade scented play dough is in the background and the ingredients for gluten-free play dough in the foreground.I added a drop of green food coloring to this bottom chunk after taking this picture.
